Pregnancy Testing
We use a urine test strip which works as a single-step immunoassay for qualitative determination of the (hCG) hormone present in urine for early detection of pregnancy. The (hCG) is produced by the placenta beginning shortly after fertilization. In normal pregnancy, (hCG) can be detected in urine as early as 7 days following conception. www.justthefacts.org
Symptoms of pregnancy may be:
- You have missed one or more menstrual periods
- Your breasts are swollen and or tender
- You are nauseated or have had a change in appetite
- You are tired or dizzy
- You have to urinate more often
- You have recently gained or lost weight
Options Counseling
If you have just found out for sure that you are pregnant, and this isn’t part of your plans right now, you could be feeling confused, scared, or alone. You may have a hard time admitting that you are even pregnant. Eventually, you’ll need to decide what you will do. At this time, despite the stress, you need to think through your alternatives. This is one of the biggest decisions you may make in your life, so whatever choice you make for your pregnancy you are going to live with that choice for the rest of your life.

Life Light offers The Earn While You Learn Program, which is a education system of earning the things you need for your baby. The lessons are taught through a series of videos that cover everything from your pregnancy, newborn care and children 2-12 yrs old. For each lesson you can earn 10 to15 dollars in Life Light Loot, enough to purchase products such as diapers, cribs and car seats, in our Diapers and Duds clothing store.
The benefits of this program are great! You will be able to earn many items for your baby and also gain valuable knowledge and confidence on how to raise your baby.
Adoption
You may decide to place your child for adoption. Each year over 50,000 women in America make this choice. This loving decision is often made by women who first thought abortion was their only way out. Making an adoption plan has many benefits. Our counselors will help you examine this option further.

Post Abortion Recovery
Life Light offers a confidential and compassionate support group available for women suffering from the after effects of abortion.. We would like to see women free from the bondage of guilt, shame, depression, bitterness, anger/rage, unforgiveness, difficulty in relationships, and grief that follows an abortion. Not all women are affected in the same manner. There are women who seemingly have no regrets about choosing abortion and who have no apparent signs of physical or emotional side effects until later in life. this program is available for the women who have experienced some degree of remorse or regret.
